My Mum's Birthday
Like me, my Mum is a big fan of LS Lowry. However as a student I can just about afford my supplies let alone a priceless painting. I thought I'd take matters into my own hands and use his palette of colours along with one of my favourite paintings to copy from. I managed to recreate it somewhat successfully whilst personalising it with a cartoon of her and her two dogs in the foreground. I used acrylic on canvas.

The Isolated Layers
This project involved collaborating with fellow peers on the course revolving around the word play with the conclusion being a 4 minute performance and an artifact. We came up with the idea to form a band with a CD as the artifact. The continuous line drawings were one idea for the cover however we opted to each draw ourselves using fine liner to then collaboratively put together. We wanted something ironically 'edgy.' We go to art school, it's our first project so why not make it fun?

Editorial: The Sun is Good
A competition arose to do an editorial illustration for an article about the apparent discovery that the sun does more good than harm. Presented is my development throughout this short project, from sketches to the final product.
The first two illustrations of the characters, although fun to create, are not the right design for the requirements. The illustration is set to be across the page with the title. I progressed to make a more fitting design.
The finished design included a graph, implying the header is also a sun graph with a character dancing and engaging with the sun.
